Trusted Family builds the technology that helps multigenerational family businesses stay connected, organized and aligned.
For more than 15 years, we’ve worked with 250 family enterprises across 35 countries, including the families behind world-renowned brands such as Michelin, Solvay, Peugeot and Tabasco.
We’re a SaaS company of around 25 people, with teams in Belgium, Lisbon and Austin. We’re small by design: experienced people, real ownership and little hierarchy building for the long term.
Today, we’re expanding our platform into new areas and exploring how AI can help family enterprises manage knowledge and make better decisions across generations.
We're a small engineering team, and we don't hire rockstars or ninjas. We'd rather have people who build things carefully than people who save the day. That's how we avoid crunch: by engineering well enough that releasing on a Friday is a non-event, not an act of courage.
We work mostly remotely and independently. You own your work end to end and shape your own day, but you're never on your own. We stay reachable, pair when it helps, and treat asking for help as part of the job.
We keep fixed meetings to a minimum and meet when there's something worth discussing. That leaves real time to do focused work and review each other's work properly.
Our technical stack and important architectural patterns. This is not a “must-know” list, but it gives you an idea of what you will be working with, and what you should see yourself using.
Quality matters. Architecture matters. Security matters. We build good software, even if it takes a bit longer.
There’s a mature product and profitable business underneath you, while significant new product areas still need to be built.
Not “curious about AI.” Engineers are expected to actively use AI to expand their speed, range and quality. You are free to choose your tools, with responsibility for the output.
Few layers, experienced peers, direct access to Product, Company and Technical leads.
Growth at Trusted Family means deepening your expertise and broadening your impact, not climbing a corporate ladder.
Flexibility, trust and life outside work, without lowering expectations. No performative busyness or permanent crunch.
We're busy, and so are you. We respect your time and expect the same in return, so our process is short and deliberate.
There's no take-home assignment. Any time you spend, we spend with you: if we want to see you work through a problem, we'll do it together in a session rather than send you off with homework.
The first calls are short and over Zoom. The real meat (and meet) is in person: once we're both interested, we'll bring you in to spend proper time with us.
You'll be interviewed by the people you'd actually work with, not a hiring panel from outside the company. They're the ones who know what the job needs, and you'll get an honest picture of the team you'd be joining.
